The Department of Transport and Main Roads’ Annual Report 2019–20 describes the department’s operations for the financial year from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.
Why we have an Annual Report
As well as meeting the statutory requirements set out in the Financial Accountability Act 2009 and the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2019, the Annual Report aims to keep the community, industry, government and organisations informed about our performance and future direction.
What the report contains
The report is divided into four main sections—Integrated transport network, accessible to everyone, our people and our organisation. This structure is underpinned by the department’s vision of Creating a single integrated transport network accessible to everyone.
This section includes our Director-General message, Chief Finance Officer's report, key priorities and outcomes, strategic opportunities and challenges, plans for the year ahead and response to COVID-19.
Integrated Transport Network
This section includes information on our investments in passenger transport and an active Queensland. It also includes information about marine infrastructure, major projects and our projects by region.
Accessible to everyone
This section includes information on shaping our products with a customer focus, digitising our customer interactions, how we engage with industry, environment and heritage, delivering with partners and road, rail and marine safety.
This section includes our Chief Human Resources Officer's report, establishing an agile and future ready workforce, creating a diverse and inclusive workforce, attracting talented people, building a strong culture, health and wellbeing, safety for our employees and digital uplift for our information processes.
This section includes information about our management and structure, robust management standards, internal accountability, external accountability and risk management.
